Aims

This community publishes original research, reviews, and methodological contributions that advance its field. We welcome submissions that are rigorous, reproducible, and of interest to an international readership.

Scope

We consider research articles, review articles, brief communications, and data papers across the community's discipline. All submissions undergo peer review consistent with the community's review policy.

Every manuscript is first assessed by the editorial team and then sent to independent expert reviewers. The community's peer-review model — and whether reviewer identities are disclosed — is shown on this page and on each published article.

Reviewers assess originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and the contribution to the field. Editorial decisions are made by the handling editor on the basis of the reviews received, and authors are given a clear account of the reasoning behind every decision.

Before you submit

Ensure your manuscript falls within the community's aims and scope, has not been published elsewhere, and follows recognised reporting standards for your study type.

How to submit

Submissions are made through the ScienceBank submission system. You will be asked to provide your manuscript file, author and affiliation details, funding information, and a declaration of any competing interests. Every figure and every table must be uploaded as a separate file, in addition to any that appear in the manuscript body — separate files maintain the integrity of your submission through review and typesetting.
